As part of their Target First Saturday, the museum will have free programs, free film screenings and free musical performances. Most importantly, admission is free.
On top of that, there will be a cash bar offering food and drinks. That means you can stand in front of a beautiful piece of art, with a glass in hand, and say, “hmmm.” You will look so smart.
This will be a great night of culture and fun, topped off by dinner and drinks nearby.
Of course, you can choose to come to just one, or both portions. The eating will commence at 7PM at Barboncino. (menu: http:// www.barboncinopizza.com/ Blank_files/ barboncino%20menu%20for%20web.jpg)

For our Spring Semester Community Outreach Project, we will be volunteering at a soup kitchen with Open Hands Legal Services, which is a religious group that offers free legal advice to individuals at their soup kitchen. This is a great opportunity for law students to work on their direct client interviewing skills, pick up some substantive knowledge about practical areas of law, and to network with lawyers from various fields.
Please register and attend the training (on Nov. 12) if you’re interested in volunteering even once next semester!
To register for the training, email info@openhandslegalservices.org by this Saturday, November 5. Include your full name, email address, phone number, and indicate that you are law student.
The training will provide an overview of housing and public benefits law as well as an overview of the New York City Department of Homeless Services.
The training is on Saturday, November 12 from 12:30-4:30pm and lunch will be provided.
For more info, email keaupuni.akina@brooklaw.edu or go to http://openhandslegalservices.org/new-events.html
